OUR FAVORITE SONGS OF ESC PAST
There are hundreds of songs that have made it to the Eurovision Grand Finale Stage, and thousands of songs that have been submitted to national finals and selection shows. There is no real stylistic cohesion and there is no limit to the genre a song that may appear on ESC which for some fans can be disorienting. But the upshot is, THERE IS A EUROVISION SONG FOR YOU!
Ooh-Oh Ooooooh
Let's talked about 2024. There was an amazing a one-two punch at the top of the results. Winning the contest was an epic vocal performance in a fun and personal song from Switzerland's Nemo.

The Wolf in the Room
Yeah, I mentioned bizarre vibes. Sometimes an act will write a joke song and perform it with a banger musical track. Sometimes those songs will surprise everyone and come in the top ten. And so I present to you Norway 2023; Subwoofer.

Carry me, carry me, carry me home...
It's not always glitz and absurdity. ESC 2019 was won by a ballad that is both restrained and powerful. You probably have heard this one, but it's worth listening to again.
Otherworldly Performance
Goosebumps. Most people wouldn't call 2012's winner Euphoria the best song in contest history. But Loreen's performance affected the contest more than almost any other. And it's of her claim to her crown as the ESC GOAT.
Also yes, it's about cumming.

Speaking of Sweden
Eurovision made ABBA, and ABBA changed Eurovision. Agnetha, Bjorn, Benny and Anne-Frid all performed several times Sweden's national selection for Eurovision between from 69-73, but Waterloo in 1974 was the second time competing together and the first time as ABBA.
The rest is history.
